Queer joy grows differently when it is rooted in community
A community-led LGBTQIA+ weekend filled with queer art, workshops, live music, dancing, wellbeing and a slower sober Sunday.
Alternative Pride returns to Platt Fields Market Garden for a fourth year of queer creativity, connection and community. Saturday brings together LGBTQIA+ talent, talks, workshops, activities, performance, live music and dancing. Sunday slows things down with a free farmers market, LGBTQIA+ pop-up market and gardening club in a sober space made for rest and connection. The weekend is run by not-for-profit Manchester Urban Diggers CIC, with proceeds supporting the community garden. Subsidised and no-funds tickets are available through the organiser.
