Ludus Guide, by Ludus Love, is a carefully curated guide to inclusive, alternative and community-led events, spaces and organisations across the UK. We're building the guide city by city. Every listing is reviewed by hand. We do not accept every submission, and we are honest with you about what we know and don't know about a place before you go.
Our story
Why we created Ludus Guide
We built Ludus Guide because we kept having the same conversation: where do you actually go to find an inclusive, alternative or community-led space or event near you, without digging through scattered Instagram accounts and outdated forum posts?
Ludus Guide sits alongside Ludus Love, our sex-positive pleasure brand. This directory is editorially independent from what we sell: inclusion in the guide is never for sale, and being listed never requires any relationship with Ludus Love.

How we select listings
Every space, event, and community profile passes the same four checks before it goes live. If something fails one of them, it doesn't get listed, regardless of who submitted it.
Evidence of inclusion
We look for real evidence of an inclusive ethos: how a space or event talks about itself, who runs it, and what people who've actually been say about it. Rainbow branding alone is not enough.
Currently active
No venues that have closed, no events that no longer run. We check listings periodically and remove or update anything that has gone quiet.
Clear practical information
We show what something actually costs to attend or access, including when it's free, plus the practical details (location, format, accessibility) so nobody turns up expecting one thing and finds another.
Community-minded
We prioritise spaces, events, and people that put safety and community care first, not just visibility. When in doubt, we ask before we list.
How we research each listing
For the full detail on how inclusivity tags are assigned and what "curated" means in practice, see our methodology page. In short: we review each organiser or venue's own published information and cross-check what's publicly available, adding only tags that are genuinely supported by what we find. We are not a certification body, and we do not audit spaces or events in person before listing them.
Only real, verifiable UK venues, events, and community groups are listed here. We do not add placeholder or fictional entries to fill out a category.
Inclusion here is never for sale
Being listed on Ludus Guide never depends on paying us anything, and never will. Every submission, free or paid, is judged against the exact same four checks above. Where we offer paid promotion, it can only increase the visibility of a listing that has already been approved on its own merits. It never changes whether something gets listed in the first place.
How we stay current
We update listings when details change and remove venues or events that have closed or stopped running. If you spot outdated information, email us at hello@ludusguide.com and we will check it as soon as we can.
